Life Updates

Well, it's August now(by the time I post this, it will be November...oops). can't quite remember the last time I posted but here's what's going on in our lives so far.

Mariah, you've turned THIRTEEN! You're officially a TEENAGER!! Like literally where did the time go? I know you've heard me say this a million times but I can still remember the day you were born...it's as if time stood still. You've started 8th grade at Drew and for the most part I think you're enjoying your freedom. It's kind of nice watching you become your own person. Gone are the days where I could pick everything out for you. Right now, you're practicing to be in Cassandra's XV. I think it's been a trying time for you but you've stuck through it and for that I am very proud of you.
You've' made new friends (a boyfriend as well) and for the most part you are just having fun.

Emma- my little spitfire child! You also made a little dancing debut at the XV and you certainly enjoyed it. You've lost a couple of teeth along the way and enjoyed having the tooth fairy deliver a few dollars ;) It's a pleasure to see you enjoy school and having a good time. It's much different from the end of last year when you cried EVERY DAY! I mean seriously... you cried for almost a month. It was so hard to try and get you into the building.. there was nothing that was going to get you to go to school.

Hurricane Imelda flooded Houston
Emma had a small dental procedure
We picked up pumpkins from a pumpkin patch
Halloween happened
The Houston Astros made it to the World Series but ended up short
Grandpa Alex and Grandma Coco drove on up here to visit
Dia de Los Muertos
Also..I had braces this year

Halloween was a good time. Emma and I got to trick or treat while dad & Mariah rode around in the van.
