it’s been a while since momma has written to you…so let’s cover the basics.
- You’re [FIVE] years old now!!
- You’re in Kindergarten [Mrs.Sifuentes/ Bilingual Montessori Class in Reece Academy]
- You love pink & purple (thanks to me)
- You love that I pack lunch for you everyday
- Your favorite cartoon is Phineas & Ferb
- You love the movie Tangled (at the moment…)
- You’re a little obsessed with Hello Kitty
- You love Turkey Sandwiches with Mayo ONLY
- You could eat Tuna everyday if I’d let you
- Grapes are your fruit of choice
- You’re trying out for the Dance Troupe on Thursday (yay!!)
- You’re interested in playing the violin…
- You hate wearing your hair up… in your words- “I want to be able to touch it momma”
- You call zebra print “abracadabra” & you love your abracadabra shoes (:
That’s all for now… I have to say that I wish
I was connected to you in some deeper level. I see how you favor your
grandparents more than you do your dad or me… breaks my heart. Yet I have to
stand proud because I’m a working mom and even though a piece of my heart is
missing all the time… I know that I’m providing for you, the best that I can.
Some people have told me you’re spoiled
& question my parenting but how can I not try and give you everything when I’m
away from you for half a day…how can I not give in when you ask me for
something? It’s true… you have me wrapped around your little finger… & I hope
one day when you’re old enough to read this, that you’ll look back and
appreciate everything I’ve given up and everything that I’ve done for you.
I’ll you more than you’ll ever know.
