goals, dreams, wishes and hopes

To begin telling you of my dreams and goals, I have to start from the day that everything suddenly made sense. July 28th 2006, that was the day that I vowed to make all your dreams and goals come true, to be the best that I could be for you. It never really dawns on you what your parents tell you, you never really get what they mean or what they want from you, until you yourself become a mother, until you are the parent. The moment I saw you, it was love at first sight. I knew instantly how it felt to have a piece of your heart walking on earth. I knew angels existed because God has blessed me with you.

I have to admit to you, that before you came into this world. My dreams and goals were totally different. Before you came around, I didn’t have anyone to worry about. I was carefree, but the moment you came into this world… you became my world and everything that I do revolves around you. I also want you to know that regardless of your father and I being young, you were NOT a mistake. You were conceived during a time of love. We planned to have you, we wanted to have you and when we finally knew you were coming, we were elated.

I hope you become a great young lady, who knows how to carry herself, who is humble, and who fights for what she believes.

I hope to be a great mother to you, a friend yet someone who knows how to discipline you.

I hope that you get to go to college and get an education.

I hope to see you graduate from both high school and college, hope see you get married, and have your first child.

I hope the best for you my child.

My dreams are to go back to college and graduate, to get married one day, to build a beautiful home for you, to become a better person for you.

Thank you, my daughter for being my hero, for showing me that all it takes is that one special person to keep you going.
